Where SAFe fits well

SAFe works best in large product centric organizations. It does not work well in small organizations or organizations where Org structures are continuously evolving and changing or those where there is too much technical debt. Service oriented organization if applying for themselves need to look at how large the teams are , interdependencies between teams and are they working off a common backlog. If not it may not work well. For large product centric prganizations, there is a need for product teams to work of a common portfolio backlog hence they can work well with SAFe.
